Below please find the required documents for the On-FIU Part-Time Dual Enrollment Program

Please go to the FIU University Core Curriculum (UCC) Tab to view courses of interest to High School Dual Enrollment students.

Please complete the steps below:

      • You must meet with your high school counselor to choose the course(s) you would like to register for (this must be done every semester you wish to take courses at FIU).
      • Since registration for the courses is on a space-available basis, we recommend that you select alternate courses in the event your first two choices fill up.
      • Do a class search for on campus courses prior to choosing the course(s) you wish to register for.

NEW – The following Online Courses have been approved for students registering for Summer 2019, through the On-FIU Campus Part-Time Dual Enrollment program.

Students must follow the same On-FIU Campus (part time) Dual Enrollment program procedures.  
Please note that the Online courses found in the above link are the only Online courses approved for Summer 2019.  


On-FIU Campus Dual Enrollment Online Application:

The On-FIU Campus Dual Enrollment Online Application should only be completed if you are a new dual enrollment applicant or if you have been out of the university for three (3) or more consecutive semesters.
    • Once you submit the application, your Panther ID and the Parent/Guardian Signature Form will be populated.
    • Print the Parent/Guardian Signature Form (the student and a parent/legal guardian) must sign the form before submitting it to the Dual Enrollment office.


      • On-FIU Campus Part-Time Dual Enrollment Authorization Form (Required):
      • Immunization Form (Required if you are a new Dual Enrollment applicant or if you have been out of the university for three (3) or more consecutive semesters)
        • Go to the FIU Student Health Center website, click on Forms, click on Immunization Forms and then click on the FIU Immunization Document Form.
        • Complete the top section of the Immunization Form and request a copy of your immunization records from your high school or take the form to your doctor to be completed and signed.
        • Please follow Immunization document submission found in the Student Health Center website above.
    • Home Education Students: The Dual Enrollment Program for Home Education students consists of the enrollment of an eligible home education secondary student in a postsecondary course creditable toward an associate degree, a career certificate, or a baccalaureate degree.
      To participate in the On-FIU Campus Part-Time Dual Enrollment Program, an eligible Home Education secondary student must submit the following documents, in addition to the documents mentioned above.

      • Request a letter from Dade County or Broward County Public Schools showing proof of being enrolled in a home education program (This must be done every semester you wish to register for courses at FIU).
      • Home Education students are not required to purchase their own books.  Please contact the Dual Enrollment office at 305-348-2800 for additional information.
      • Be responsible for your own transportation.
      • Print and sign the home education dual enrollment articulation agreement: Home Education Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreement
    • Private and Charter School Students: Private or Charter Schools must sign the FIU Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreement. For additional information please contact the FIU Dual Enrollment office at 305-348-2800 or email Danay Barata at
Dual Enrollment grades will become part of your permanent high school transcript and Florida International University’s transcript (these are official transcripts and should be included in any college application).

All dual enrollment documents mentioned above must be submitted to one of the Dual Enrollment offices mentioned below, prior to registering for courses.

Registration Instructions

  • Go to One-Stop FIU:
  • Then select Add/Drop Period & Deadlines located on the right hand side of the page.
  • Scroll down to the How to Add/Drop Classes.
  • Follow the registration instructions found in this section.
  • Please follow the On-FIU Campus Dual Enrollment registration deadlines provided to you at time of dual enrollment document submission.

Withdraw from Class Procedures

On-FIU Campus dual enrollment students are responsible for officially withdrawing from classes that they are no longer attending in accordance with FIU requirements. Students who do not officially withdraw from a class may receive a failing grade.  You must advise your high school counselor when dropping a class from FIU.
