Eligibility Requirements:
  • A  3.0 unweighted high school  grade point average or higher.
  • New dual enrollment students and students that have not participated in the dual enrollment program for three (3) or more consecutive semesters need a college readiness score on a common placement test adopted by the Florida State Board of Education which indicates the student is ready for college-level coursework. NEW Summer 2019 

The following Online Courses have been approved for students registering for Summer 2019, through the On-FIU Campus Part-Time Dual Enrollment program. Documents Required for Online/On Campus courses:

Prior to completing the documents below meet with your high school counselor or parent/legal guardian (home education student) to choose the course(s) you would like to register for (this must be done every semester you wish to register for courses at FIU).  Since registration for the courses is on a space-available basis, we recommend that you select alternate courses in the event your first two choices fill up. Do a class search prior to choosing your course(s):  CLASS SEARCH

  • Online Application: 
(this application must be completed if you are a new applicant or have been out of the university for three (3) or more consecutive semesters).

  • On-FIU Campus Part-Time Dual Enrollment Authorization Form (this form must be submitted every semester you wish to register for  courses at FIU): Authorization Form

 

  • Immunization Form: Go to  FIU Student Health Center , Forms, Immunization Forms and then FIU Immunization Document Form (this document must be submitted if you are a new applicant or have been out of the university for three (3) or more consecutive semesters).

  • Go to One-Stop FIU:  https://onestop.fiu.edu/classes/register-for-classes/
  • Then select Add/Drop Period & Deadlines located on the right hand side of the page.
  • Scroll down to the How to Add/Drop Classes.
  • Follow the registration instructions found in this section.
  • Please follow the On-FIU Campus Dual Enrollment registration deadlines provided to you at time of dual enrollment document submission.
Withdraw from Class Procedures
  • On-FIU Campus dual enrollment students are responsible for officially withdrawing from classes that they are no longer attending in accordance with FIU requirements. Students who do not officially withdraw from a class may receive a failing grade.  You must advise your high school counselor when dropping an FIU course.  For university withdraw dates please visit the FIU Academic Calendar at https://onestop.fiu.edu/academic-calendar/
Dual Enrollment grades will become part of your permanent high school transcript and Florida International University’s transcript (these are official transcripts and should be included in any college application).
